First first three times I tried downloading it was the only download. After I reinitialized my PS4 I tried again and it didn't work. The second time around I tried updating other games just to see if they would and sure enough every other game will update and play like normal. Do you have Apex Legends installed on an external hard drive, or is it saved to the drive that's built into your PS4?

It was on an external hard drive. Tried to download on both the external and the original system hard drive since the problem started. Both have yielded the same results. I apologize for my late reply but it has been a busy month. I'm sure by my absence of reply though that you could only assume that it worked, which it did and I am very thankful for it. No worries! I have this exact same problem, however, nowhere does it say "repair". It's stuck at 8. I left it overnight, and it's still stuck. Uninstalled and reinstalled Origin which did not fix the problem.
